Game Plan for the year 2020. How can five different communities take a lead in establishing their presence in the Greater Trenton area.
Greater Trenton area mosques:
Lawrenceville
East Windsor
City of Trenton
Ewing
Yardley
This is a modest proposal/plan that I presented this jumua’ in Yardley, PA. I hope and pray that the leadership of these mosques put their heads together to become more effective in providing services to their communities. The proposal is based on the following simple strategy.
1. Survey of successful programs/services provided by the existing masjids.
2. Survey of communal needs for ex. youth groups, wkend school, gym, etc. in a community.
3. Assigning leadership role to each mosque in programs they are successful and doing a joint venture in establishing these programs by the year 2020.
Here is a better description:
1. AlBayan Academy Islamic School is a unique service provided by Masjid Saffat in Trenton. No other mosque in the area is providing this service.
2. Masjid Saffat, Trenton has many needs especially in social service area. For example, City of Trenton (Muslims/nonMuslims) need a free medical clinic.
3. A plan for the year 2020 will establish a road map for all five communities to support AlBayan Academy as the school of the area and build a medical facility for the poor in Greater Trenton area. Trenton community will take a lead and help other communities with a model Islamic school and other communities will help Trenton Muslims (and non-Muslims) in establishing a state of the art medical facility.

Interfaith Dialogue
